Sponsorships / Donations in any amount are greatly appreciated.
We have been rescuing horses and educating new and hopeful horse owners since 2001, operating totally through Volunteers, Sponsorships, and Donations. So that's how we stay "in business."
We do not pay any administrative salaries.
We are the true meaning, the true spirit, of Volunteerism and Nonprofit.
All Donations are acknowledged here on our website (not the amounts, unless you want).
Or you may request that your contribution remain anonymous. That's ok too.
Donations may be made as a tribute or memorial to a loved one or a beloved horse or pet.

More thanks in early 2012.
Thanks Kathy Holm, Louise McGannan, Faythe Weber, for donations in Jan/Feb.
Thanks Wendy Olson and the Way of the Horse for our Equine Assisted Learning demo!
Thank you Jada H for your recent financial gift for our horses. And for visiting us and treating Shadow so nice. Jada has been selling cat dog and horse treats. going door to door etc. And with some of her hard-earned profits, she presented... a check to DoubleHP! She has told us that she wants to be an animal rescuer some day, but she thinks maybe she should be a Vet first, to have some money to support her rescue. At one time she also thought that maybe she could, with her profits, buy the now-closed Second Chance facility and call it 2nd Second Chance, or maybe even Third Chance, but she realized it would be a long time before she had enough money for that. So, for now, she is donating her animal treat profits to various animal welfare organizations, and we are so very thankful that she chose us. here's a pix of Jada and Shadow.
Thank you Wally and Maurine Hortness for your greatly appreciated annual donation for our rescued horses. Wally, with his well-earned "tip money," is a special sponsor for Shadow and Bella too.
Thank you Diane Filing for your recent financial gift for our rescued horses. Diane is from Glenrock, Wyoming. (that town may sound familiar to some of you who have been with us for a few years). Anyway, thank you very very much Diane for your donation and your kind words. We believe that you and your kindness truly represent your town of Glenrock.
Thank you Mary Ueker for your recent memorial donation. Mary writes, "my co-workers gave me this check on the death of my father, Owen Neiter, of Billings, Montana. Their intent was that I would give it to the organization of my choice. My father was always a champion for animals of any kind, but he had a special soft spot for abused or neglected horses. I know he would approve of this money going to DoubleHP."
Received a donation from Mickie Hortness (DoubleHP West) in memory of T.J. (Thomas Jasper) Dowling, beloved kitty cat of Mickie's friend Lindsay Dowling. So sorry for your sadness Lindsay, thank you for giving T.J. such a wonderful home. Thank you for being such a good friend Mickie.
Thanks Schatzi for playing with our rescued horses. Schatzi is a level 3 Parelli grad and her plans right now include taking our Hero to the Parelli campus in Colorado for a month in May-June!
Thanks Dakota Large Animal Clinic for continued help with our rescued horses.

Denise Heidebrink has sponsored Spirit for a
second month. And she has riding privileges at New Hope Horse Shelter. So far
she has ridden Moonshine, Star, and Flicka. Denise used to ride English. But she
hadn't ridden for a while, so she is starting out on the older, more experienced
horses here. And, since we don't own any English riding gear, Denise is also
getting used to Western saddles. She's doing great!
The photo is of Spirit playing with his buddy Rocky last winter. We'll try to get a picture of Denise this weekend when she comes to ride.
Thanks Denise!
